Balanced Life is a website entitled to guide students into a balanced lifestyle. The project began due to a concern that rose between the writers: how can we live our best life, whilst handling the stressful environment students are facing, specifically in their final years of high school? This question is one asked by millions of students and the answer given always is, “by having a balanced lifestyle.” Still, many believe having a balanced life means only doing physical and mental activities, which is a part of a balanced life but not entirely the meaning behind it. A balanced lifestyle is a state of fulfillment that a person feels by giving attention to what brings the most harmony and true happiness into their life. For this reason, the pathway in order to achieve a balanced life is independent for each individual. However, searching for what brings the most fulfillment into your life is quite challenging, which is why this website was born. In here, you will find articles, tips, videos, reviews, and many more about how to begin the process of having a wellness journey and keep track of a balanced life. Through the many resources published, and monthly publications, you can learn which key areas including, physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being, work best in your personal journey to having the balanced lifestyle which is so desired. Achieving a well rounded lifestyle is essential not only to help with academic pressure and stress, but as well to achieve optimal health in all aspects of your life: relationships, work, fitness, health, and emotional happiness.

I’ve always valued living a balanced life although it’s sometimes challenging. For me, balance means making space and combining academics, sports, family, friends, and cultural interests. I play tennis, do at-home pilates when time is limited, cook for family and friends, unwind at the ceramics studio, relax when visiting exhibitions, and love to explore new restaurants. Through Balanced Life, I share recommendations to help you build sustainable habits and maintain equilibrium everyday. Balanced life will help you find your rhythm so you can feel your best!

Living a balanced life has always been central to my wellbeing and allows me to prioritize my mental health in ways that might not feel so obvious. For me, exercise is essential since it provides a space where I can be in the moment and forget about any other things that I may have going on. Besides living an active lifestyle I also think that setting time aside for your hobbies is essential, I have found this thoroughly beneficial especially during exam season. For me this means baking, reading, hiking, and more.

Valentina Palacio
I follow a balanced life primarily because I understand the importance of sleep. One can go to all the workout classes, do all the meditations, keep a journal, but for me, what grounds me and what makes me feel good is sleeping. I like to add other wellness to my life by baking, reading every night before I fall asleep, and doing one mini french lesson every morning. This has helped me keep my mental health well especially during IB Internal Assessment and College Application season.

I’m a person who cherishes being able to balance all activities, physical, and mental, in order to maintain a well-rounded lifestyle. My search for a balanced life started from an earlier age because I am a dancer. This meant that since I was little I had to learn how to balance my academic, social, spiritual, and physical life in order to thrive. I was able to do this mainly by learning how to prioritize activities and learn how to trust in the process of life itself. Having a balanced life isn’t a thing you can get from one night to another, it is a process and with the help of this website and our insights we hope to amplify your knowledge about how to begin your wellness journey.
