Exhibition: Warhol y su obturador fugaz

CASA DEL LAGO UNAM
From October 3 to November 9, 2025
Sala 4

Andy Warhol’s Luckman collection- a joint project by California State University and the Universidad Autónoma de México-  is made up of a selection of Polaroid photographs, silver gelatin prints, and silk-screen prints created by Warhol over the latter half of the ‘70s and first half of the ‘80s. This visual documentation was part of Warhol’s process in creating the iconic prints he is most known for. And most interestingly, these pieces briefly immortalized famous people, objects, icons of the time. Those with a mere “15 minutes of fame” were captured by Warhol and are included in this collection.

Lalo!

Their traditional pan de muerto is a must: pillowy, soft, and with a slight aroma of orange. Their pan de muerto with fresh cream and berries is also irresistible!

Panadería Rosetta

Rosetta is known for its black pan de muerto made with totomoxtle ash. It's worth trying at least once, though their traditional one remains my favorite.

Creativity

Ademán Ceramics

Ademan Ceramics offers pottery classes for all levels. It perfect for going with friends or alone. Each session lasts two hours and costs $480 MXN. I recommend you book online because space is limited. They provide the clay and all the tools. You can work by hand (handbuilding) or on a wheel and make everything from plates, ring holders, and mugs to vases or sculptures. If you finish your piece in the first class, you can return about two weeks later (post-first firing) to have it glazed—you can choose from a variety of colors and effects. You can pick up your finished piece in approximately two more weeks. The studio is small but has a pleasant patio where lots of light comes in. After your class, walk to Sede Café for a matcha or latte, or stop by Bonvi for some of the best tacos in the area.
